This image was taken on our trip to California in the Pebble Beach area — basically a privately run “city” near Carmel that charges an admission fee for non-residents. Strange setup, but beautiful scenery.

The negative here (taken with the Rolleiflex 3.5E on Fuji Acros) has a huge amount of detail, but representing this detail in a scan (bringing it out to give the impression of depth and texture) is really tough. I’m never quite sure if I’ve succeeded, so I’d appreciate comments.
