Yesterday I realized that what has really changed in my photography over the last 3-4 years is my skill and confidence at post-processing — both traditional and PS. For me, developing proficiency in dodging, burning, masking and toning images has been the critical step in completing the “feedback loop” of image-making (from the camera viewfinder to the screen / print and then back to the camera again).
This picture was taken in June 2006 in Cambridge, MA, with the Yashicamat 124 on expired Kodak Ektachrome EPP film. Scanned and given edge-burning, partial desaturation and partial blur in PS.
