The workup of my pictures from our trip to California is progressing slowly but surely. I narrowed the 1,200 digital images down to about 65 “selects”, and am busy doing RAW conversions and other such stuff. The twelve rolls of film from the Rolleiflex are developed and ready for scanning (whenever that might be).

Overall, I’ve been pleased with the photos and emboldened by the editing process. It really forces you to identify what helps and what hinders your compositions. In my case, people help, and slavish adherence to compositional rules hinders. That and not enough photographic risk-taking.
