Sherwood Forest

Taken on a winter afternoon in Sherwood Park, part of the Don River ravine system that runs through my neighbourhood in mid-town Toronto. Shooting details are the same as for the previous image; I added a vignette in PS.

Smoking monolith

An apartment building in my neighbourhood, seen against a winter sky. This was taken using the Nikon FG and Kiron 28mm f/2.0 lens on Efke 25, developed in Rodinal 1+50. I applied some edge sharpening, a vignette, and toning in PS.

Peeling painted pedestal

This is the base of a flagpole at a major public high-school in my neighbourhood. Actual new photography

Trying to get things moving here on the new site: some wrought-iron gates near the U of T campus seen on a snowy Sunday a few weeks ago. Taken with the Olympus Stylus Epic on Tri-X Pan film, developed in Instant MYTOL 1+1 (8 mins at 23C).

On a related note, I’m thinking of radically re-organizing my blog, perhaps merging the photoblog and “words” sections. Or at…

Nikon F90, 50mm f/1.8 lens, taken on Ilford FP4 Plus film reversal-processed to a slide. Sorry for the lack of posting here lately — things have been very busy and are likely to get even busier. I hope to at least get some new (or old) material up here very soon.

Taken this summer near Port Rexton, Nfld. Nikon FG, 24mm f/2.8 lens, orange filter, Ilford FP4 Plus. I am aiming for a more understated style in my PS work — am I succeeding?
