Lake Ontario at Wellington, Prince Edward County, October 2004
Bringing this one up from the archives as it didn’t get looked at much before. This was taken with an Olympus Stylus Epic point-and-shoot on Ilford Delta 100, which scans wonderfully.
At the Beaches, 2004
I’ve been having a lot of fun with Photoshop lately, without really understanding how it works. Levels and Curves are fine, but the manipulation of layers and channels leaves me mystified. I was going to get “Adobe Photoshop for Photographers” to try to learn something. Anyone have better book suggestions?
Cannon Beach, Oregon, Summer 2004
The tone here is the result of a happy Photoshop accident in the course of turning a colour-balanced scan to black-and-white.
Pears
Handheld, Ilford FP4 Plus at box speed, developed in Diafine. The pears were delicious.
Harvard Square, fall 2003
From-the-hip with my Yashica GSN.
Projection

Hommage a HCB (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery)
Shot from a moving streetcar on a gray and rainy day in December on slow Efke KB25 film.
Blue Curacao, November 2002
As December starts, I thought it was time to brighten things up with some colour for a change. I didn’t use a polarizer or adjust the colours at all here. The ocean in Curacao really was that shade of blue. Note added April 2007: this was one of the first photos I posted on Photosensitive!
